The Cowboys lost the trade table, and the D+ tells the story.

You can hear the double-takes from here. The Cowboys took Tyler Batty at the 150th pick, roughly 77 spots before his name belonged. The process wobbled, and the D+ is where it lands.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. With cornerback and tight end unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them.

For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Gordon II pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
