Draft Grade — Cardinals
Overall
B-
ValueB
NeedB
TradesB-
FutureB-
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Cardinals: B-. There is a lot to like until you notice quarterback is still a hole. The Cardinals never got to the one that mattered most.
The Williams steal is the beam this whole class leans on. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick Analysis
Pick16
Rnd1
Kenneth Grant
In the 16th pick they get a run-stuffing presence up front. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick47
Rnd2
Cameron Williams
A slide stopped in the Round 2 slot, with Cameron Williams worth more than the price. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick78
Rnd3
Jack Bech
Jack Bech at Round 3, Pick 14 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
