Start where it matters. The Jets took Fernando Mendoza to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

Every board in the league had Lucas lower, and that gap is the story. On value alone, Johnson makes the weekend a net positive.

Job largely done: quarterback settled and 8 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
