You build a draft on nights like this. Tanner Koziol had no business being available in the Round 6 slot, and the Raiders did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

The Smith reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Fred Warner gives the group a proven body among the projects.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Trust the process, because this time the process plainly worked.
