The Bears bet the future on Maye. The board says A-.

They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Drake Maye is the Bears' quarterback, full stop. A near-flawless weekend of work, and a A- to cap it.

Travis has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. However the rest shakes out, Taylor-Demerson at that price is a win they earned. The phones were where this weekend was really won.

The Bears indulged a want in Williams while a need in interior defensive lineman stayed open. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The kind of weekend a front office frames and hangs on the wall.

A reasonable price with a little left over, Drake Maye in the 9th overall pick. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.

They did well to land Dallas Turner in the Round 1 slot, just ahead of his grade. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
