The Solomon Tuliaupupu pick is the one that will follow the Saints into the fall. They took him 42 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

That Baugh pick is the receipt they will wave around later. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
