More right than wrong for the Bills, and a B- to prove it.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Bills did exactly that with Melvin Siani in pick No. 27. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

Brown falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Linebacker was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

Pick Analysis
Pick27 Rnd1 Melvin Siani
In Round 1, Pick 27 they get protection for the quarterback, a steep price for the projection. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick59 Rnd2 Chris Cole
Taking Chris Cole in the 59th overall pick is close to grand larceny; a linebacker that good had no business lasting this long. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick91 Rnd3 Sammy Brown
They robbed the room for Sammy Brown here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick128 Rnd4 Cooper Barkate
No drama and no debate, Cooper Barkate went about where he belonged in pick 128. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick137 Rnd4 Kingston Lopa
They barely believed it either: Kingston Lopa still on the board at pick No. 137. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick165 Rnd5 Raylen Wilson
Raylen Wilson at the Round 5 slot is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick206 Rnd6 Jacob Ponton
Nothing to complain about; Jacob Ponton went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick245 Rnd7 Elinneus Davis
Elinneus Davis at No. 245 is a conviction pick that outran the value. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick248 Rnd7 Mark Nabou Jr.
Mark Nabou Jr. in slot 248 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
