Draft Grade — Rams

Some hits, some head-scratchers, and a C+ for the Rams. The Rams torched the value chart for Jahiem White, taking him 233 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. Fine in stretches, shaky in others: a C+.
The Leavitt pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. The offensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes. Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.
In the end, one you will need a couple of seasons to truly judge.
Pick Analysis
Pick13
Rnd1
Bryant Wesco Jr.
In the Round 1 slot they get a go-to option on the outside, a steep price for the projection. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick29
Rnd1
Jaylen McClain
Value said wait; Jaylen McClain in slot 29 says they were not listening. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick61
Rnd2
Ellis Robinson IV
You do not let a cornerback like Ellis Robinson IV reach pick No. 61 and blink. They did not. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick93
Rnd3
Jahiem White
Jahiem White at Round 3, Pick 29 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick167
Rnd5
KJ Duff
Somehow KJ Duff was still sitting there in the 167th overall pick, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick205
Rnd6
Drayk Bowen
They will replay Drayk Bowen at No. 205 for years; that is how good the value is. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick208
Rnd6
Mateen Ibirogba
Steal is underselling it; Mateen Ibirogba at the Round 6 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick232
Rnd7
Elinneus Davis
A interior defensive lineman of that caliber at No. 232 is the definition of value, full stop. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick250
Rnd7
Sam Leavitt
A top-tier quarterback at a bargain, Sam Leavitt in slot 250, plain and simple. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick256
Rnd7
Khalil Barnes
They left a pile of value on the table to take Khalil Barnes this early at pick No. 256. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
