Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Jets spent No. 12 on Malachi Singleton, a name most had 286 spots down the list.

On value alone, Martin makes the weekend a net positive. Malachi Singleton gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
