Draft Grade — Dolphins
Overall B-
ValueB NeedA- TradesA+ FutureF
The Dolphins drew a line under the quarterback search with Moore: B-.

After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Dolphins committed. Dante Moore is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

Landing Johnson that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. If Umanmielen pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.

Pick Analysis
Pick3 Rnd1 Dante Moore
In pick No. 3 they get their guy under center for the next decade. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick36 Rnd2 Jadan Baugh
Jadan Baugh at the 36th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick67 Rnd3 Princewill Umanmielen
A wild overpay on Princewill Umanmielen in slot 67, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick103 Rnd4 Greg Johnson
Circle this one: Greg Johnson at No. 103 is a fall that decides a draft. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick139 Rnd5 Earl Little Jr.
Earl Little Jr. in pick 139 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick156 Rnd5 Jayden Jackson
Somehow Jayden Jackson was still sitting there in the 156th overall pick, and they pounced on premier interior defensive lineman value. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick184 Rnd6 Earnest Greene III
This one needs a full-page explanation: Earnest Greene III in Round 6, Pick 5, miles early. It fills a real need, too.
Pick246 Rnd7 Sammy Omosigho
A clean, defensible pick in the Round 7 slot with a little surplus value in Sammy Omosigho. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick255 Rnd7 Brett Norfleet
No drama and no debate, Brett Norfleet went about where he belonged in the 255th pick. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
