Draft Grade — Raiders

FutureD
The Raiders fleeced the room on the phones and earned a B. The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Raiders reached some 40 spots for Jalen Thompson, and value like that does not grow back. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
The Scott pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick Analysis
Pick54
Rnd2
Justin Scott
Steal is underselling it; Justin Scott at Round 2, Pick 22 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick88
Rnd3
Vicari Swain
Vicari Swain at the 88th pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick125
Rnd4
J'Koby Williams
They jumped the gun on J'Koby Williams, taking him earlier than his grade liked. The roster fit checks out.
Pick159
Rnd5
Jalen Thompson
They talked themselves into Jalen Thompson at pick No. 159, and the board did not agree. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick205
Rnd6
Niki Prongos
No drama and no debate, Niki Prongos went about where he belonged in No. 205. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
