Draft Grade — Jaguars
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Jaguars and Bennee: B.

Thirty-one other rooms let Jackson Bennee slide, and the Jaguars were the ones holding the card at the 180th overall pick. Highway robbery.

Every board in the league had Harbor lower, and that gap is the story. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Carter Smith
In slot 25 they get protection for the quarterback, and a steal at that. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick60 Rnd2 Nyck Harbor
Nyck Harbor in pick No. 60 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick91 Rnd3 Xavier Atkins
A straight-up fair deal on Xavier Atkins at Round 3, Pick 27, value and slot in agreement. It fills a real need, too.
Pick128 Rnd4 Marcus Neal Jr.
The board had Marcus Neal Jr. higher than the Round 4 slot, and the safety fell to them anyway. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick162 Rnd5 Nicholas Rodriguez
A tidy bit of business in pick 162, where Nicholas Rodriguez graded well above the range. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick176 Rnd5 Kayin Lee
They paid sticker price for Kayin Lee in the 176th overall pick, and that is fine. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick180 Rnd5 Jackson Bennee
Jackson Bennee at the 180th pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick215 Rnd6 Anthony Colandrea
They paid up for Anthony Colandrea at No. 215 when waiting would have done the job. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick246 Rnd7 Addison Nichols
They took Addison Nichols at par in No. 246, which is nothing to complain about. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
