Draft Grade — Broncos
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedA- TradesB- FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Broncos.

Nobody had Francis Brewu this high, and it is not close. The Broncos reached 69 spots to get him at slot 136. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Goosby. Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick18 Rnd1 Chris Cole
They paid up for Chris Cole at the Round 1 slot when waiting would have done the job. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick49 Rnd2 Trevor Goosby
They robbed the room for Trevor Goosby here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick80 Rnd3 Raylen Wilson
A real head-scratcher, Raylen Wilson in the 80th overall pick is miles ahead of his ranking. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick117 Rnd4 Jayden Jackson
A conviction pick on Jayden Jackson at pick No. 117 that the board grades a round light. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick136 Rnd4 Francis Brewu
A wild overpay on Francis Brewu in slot 136, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick151 Rnd5 Brody Foley
Brody Foley at No. 151 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick194 Rnd6 Amaris Williams
A premium they did not need to pay, Amaris Williams a notch or two before his time. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick228 Rnd7 Maraad Watson
A tidy little value on Maraad Watson in the 228th overall pick, a step better than break-even. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick231 Rnd7 Jackson Arnold
A reach for Jackson Arnold in Round 7, Pick 12; a little patience would have been rewarded. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
