Draft Grade — Packers
Overall C-
ValueF NeedB+ TradesD FutureC+
A weekend that raised as many questions as it answered. The Packers get a C-.

If confidence were a draft strategy, the Packers would have aced it. Montravius Lloyd at the 120th pick is 183 spots clear of where he belonged.

That is a safety worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The tight end hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

Call it incomplete, and check back in a couple of seasons.

Pick Analysis
Pick52 Rnd2 Wendell Gregory
Wendell Gregory at pick 52 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick84 Rnd3 Zach Lutmer
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Zach Lutmer well ahead of where he belonged. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick120 Rnd4 Montravius Lloyd
Montravius Lloyd in pick No. 120 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick145 Rnd5 Dylan Lonergan
A reach on Dylan Lonergan in the Round 5 slot; the board had better options right there. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick158 Rnd5 Kyle Altuner
They left a pile of value on the table to take Kyle Altuner this early at slot 158. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick236 Rnd7 Nic Anderson
A wild overpay on Nic Anderson in Round 7, Pick 20, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick254 Rnd7 Joenel Aguero
A safety of that caliber at pick No. 254 is the definition of value, full stop. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick257 Rnd7 Khalil Barnes
They reached into another round for Khalil Barnes, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
