Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall
B
ValueB-

FutureD
The Raiders won the weekend at the trade table. Grade: B. Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Jayce Brown at No. 102 is 32 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline. No fireworks, but a solid B.
They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. However the rest shakes out, Brown at that price is a win they earned. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick Analysis
Pick36
Rnd2
Zabien Brown
Nice patience on Zabien Brown, who had no business lasting to the 36th overall pick. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick67
Rnd3
Quincy Rhodes Jr.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Quincy Rhodes Jr. well ahead of where he belonged. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick102
Rnd4
Jayce Brown
They talked themselves into Jayce Brown at pick No. 102, and the board did not agree. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick117
Rnd4
Greg Johnson
Greg Johnson slid further than he should have, and the 117th pick is lovely value for the offensive lineman. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick134
Rnd4
LaNorris Sellers
A quiet steal in Round 4, Pick 34: LaNorris Sellers for less than the market said. The roster fit checks out.
Pick174
Rnd5
Edwin Spillman
No edge and no loss on Edwin Spillman in pick 174; it is a wash and a sensible one. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick180
Rnd6
Emerson Mandell
A big swing on Emerson Mandell at pick No. 180, well ahead of any board in the building. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick183
Rnd6
La'khi Roland
A wild overpay on La'khi Roland in the 183rd overall pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick219
Rnd7
Kamari Wilson
Good price on Kamari Wilson in the Round 7 slot, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
