You build a draft on nights like this. Kade Pieper had no business being available in Round 3, Pick 28, and the Giants did the only sane thing and turned in the card. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

For all the activity, safety went untouched, which is hard to explain. Interior defensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The back end got a real overhaul.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
