Draft Grade — Cowboys
Overall B+
ValueA- NeedB+ TradesB+ FutureB
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Cowboys and Echoles: B+.

The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Will Echoles, the 112th overall pick, roughly 99 picks past where he belonged.

Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick21 Rnd1 Cayden Green
In No. 21 they get an anchor for the offensive line, and a steal at that. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick62 Rnd2 Jayden Maiava
You do not let a quarterback like Jayden Maiava reach Round 2, Pick 30 and blink. They did not. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick112 Rnd4 Will Echoles
The board fumbled Will Echoles all the way to the Round 4 slot, and they scooped it up. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick119 Rnd4 Terrance Carter Jr.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Terrance Carter Jr. at pick No. 119 is the proof. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick146 Rnd5 Jalen Mayo
Jalen Mayo in the 146th overall pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. Hard to map this one onto the depth chart at all.
