Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Packers, and a B- to prove it.

The Packers spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Aamil Wagner, the No. 166 name on the board, in the Round 6 slot.

Every board in the league had Curry lower, and that gap is the story. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick52 Rnd2 D'Angelo Ponds
Good price on D'Angelo Ponds in slot 52, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick84 Rnd3 Caden Curry
They reached a country mile for Caden Curry at pick No. 84, and the board is aghast. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick120 Rnd4 Malik Muhammad
The board fumbled Malik Muhammad all the way to Round 4, Pick 20, and they scooped it up. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick158 Rnd5 Bryce Boettcher
A reach for Bryce Boettcher in the Round 5 slot; a little patience would have been rewarded. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick199 Rnd6 Aamil Wagner
A top-tier offensive lineman at a bargain, Aamil Wagner in the 199th pick, plain and simple. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick236 Rnd7 Desmond Reid
They paid up for Desmond Reid at the 236th overall pick when waiting would have done the job. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick254 Rnd7 Trey Zuhn III
Trey Zuhn III in pick 254 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick257 Rnd7 Wesley Bissainthe
No drama and no debate, Wesley Bissainthe went about where he belonged in slot 257. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
