The Blake Miller selection is the head-turner. The Browns reached 48 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. That is a safety worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

It grades out a shrug today, with plenty of room to move either way.
