Draft Grade — Browns
Overall B-
ValueC NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Browns.

The Browns torched the value chart for Blake Miller, taking him 47 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. However the rest shakes out, Endries at that price is a win they earned. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.

Pick Analysis
Pick6 Rnd1 Carnell Tate
In the Round 1 slot they get a No. 1 receiver at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick24 Rnd1 Olaivavega Ioane
In pick 24 they get protection for the quarterback, even if it was a touch early. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick39 Rnd2 Caleb Tiernan
Caleb Tiernan in the 39th overall pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick70 Rnd3 Blake Miller
Blake Miller at No. 70 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick107 Rnd4 Jack Endries
The board had Jack Endries higher than the 107th pick, and the tight end fell to them anyway. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick139 Rnd5 Davison Igbinosun
Davison Igbinosun in Round 5, Pick 1 is fair value, right on his grade. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick144 Rnd5 Red Murdock
A wild overpay on Red Murdock in the Round 5 slot, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick147 Rnd5 Ted Hurst
A straight-up fair deal on Ted Hurst at Round 5, Pick 9, value and slot in agreement. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick204 Rnd6 PJ Williams
They reached a country mile for PJ Williams at No. 204, and the board is aghast. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick248 Rnd7 Jamari Lyons
A conviction pick on Jamari Lyons at pick No. 248 that the board grades a round light. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
