Draft Grade — Browns
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Browns: B-.

Everything else got attention, and quarterback got none. That is a strange way for the Browns to leave a draft. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

The Morris reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The Reese steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick6 Rnd1 Carnell Tate
In pick 6 they get a difference-maker at receiver at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick24 Rnd1 Arvell Reese
In pick No. 24 they get a green-dot type in the middle, and a steal at that. Need was not the driver here.
Pick39 Rnd2 Olaivavega Ioane
They took Olaivavega Ioane at par in the 39th pick, which is nothing to complain about. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick70 Rnd3 Emmanuel McNeil-Warren
A reasonable price with a little left over, Emmanuel McNeil-Warren in the 70th overall pick. The roster fit checks out.
Pick107 Rnd4 Blake Miller
A conviction pick on Blake Miller at Round 4, Pick 7 that the board grades a round light. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick140 Rnd5 Kage Casey
Kage Casey at slot 140 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick145 Rnd5 Max Iheanachor
By-the-book stuff, Max Iheanachor at the Round 5 slot squarely in line with his ranking. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick148 Rnd5 Davison Igbinosun
They paid sticker price for Davison Igbinosun in No. 148, and that is fine. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick205 Rnd6 Brandon Inniss
They jumped the gun on Brandon Inniss, taking him earlier than his grade liked. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick248 Rnd7 Micah Morris
Micah Morris at pick No. 248 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
