Draft Grade — Titans
Overall

FutureB-
Manning is the plan now, and the Titans grade out a B-. Boards are made to be trusted, and the Titans shredded theirs for Raul Aguirre Jr.. He came off 398 spots early, and the room will hear about it. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.
So much rides on Arch Manning that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. That is an edge rusher worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast.
The offensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick Analysis
Pick1
Rnd1
Arch Manning
In pick 1 they get their guy under center for the next decade, though the board says they badly overpaid. A real need, handled.
Pick9
Rnd1
Peter Woods
Good price on Peter Woods in the 9th pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick33
Rnd2
Joshua Josephs
A market-rate edge rusher, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Joshua Josephs. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick65
Rnd3
Raul Aguirre Jr.
A big swing on Raul Aguirre Jr. at pick No. 65, well ahead of any board in the building. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick101
Rnd4
Anthony Lucas
Anthony Lucas in slot 101 is fair value, right on his grade. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick144
Rnd5
Tanner Koziol
They talked themselves into Tanner Koziol at the 144th overall pick, and the board did not agree. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick179
Rnd6
Anto Saka
Circle this one: Anto Saka at the 179th overall pick is a fall that decides a draft. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick215
Rnd7
Semaj Morgan
This one needs a full-page explanation: Semaj Morgan in the Round 7 slot, miles early. The roster fit checks out.
Pick240
Rnd7
Gentry Williams
They left a pile of value on the table to take Gentry Williams this early at pick 240. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
