There is reaching, and then there is Demon Clowney at Round 7, Pick 1. The Cowboys jumped the board by 165 and dared it to prove them wrong. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. The wide receiver hole is the one line item this class does not answer. That Hill pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

Christian Watson gives the group a proven body among the projects.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
