Draft Grade — Bills

FutureF
The Bills robbed the room for Pavia. Final grade: B-. The real work happened on the phones. The Bills fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.
Hunter has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. However the rest shakes out, Pavia at that price is a win they earned. The linebacker spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick Analysis
Pick8
Rnd1
Keldric Faulk
In the Round 1 slot they get a quarterback's worst nightmare. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick64
Rnd2
Bud Clark
A market-rate safety, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Bud Clark. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick96
Rnd3
Logan Jones
Logan Jones at pick No. 96 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick132
Rnd4
Lee Hunter
A wild overpay on Lee Hunter in No. 132, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick171
Rnd5
Tristan Leigh
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Tristan Leigh. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick217
Rnd7
Hykeem Williams
Hykeem Williams slid further than he should have, and the 217th overall pick is lovely value for the wide receiver. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick222
Rnd7
Diego Pavia
They barely believed it either: Diego Pavia still on the board at the 222nd overall pick. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick245
Rnd7
Tony Grimes
A reasonable price with a little left over, Tony Grimes in pick 245. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
