You can draft well and still miss the point. The Texans did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to quarterback, which was the need that mattered most.

That is a tight end worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Every board in the league had Lawrence lower, and that gap is the story.

They left with running back solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
