The Saints put a flag in the ground for Aaron Graves, 28 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Scott value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.
