Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Vikings were there to profit. Brendan Sorsby, the No. 105 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 206th pick.

Boettcher has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

If Gennings Dunker and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
