The Steelers checked most of the boxes and earned a B-.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Steelers did exactly that with Gunner Stockton in Round 3, Pick 12.

Getting Green where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. For all the activity, safety went untouched, which is hard to explain.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

They took Carnell Tate at par in the 21st pick, which is nothing to complain about. The roster fit checks out.

Quietly one of the better values of the day, Caleb Lomu at the Round 2 slot. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.

Gunner Stockton at Round 3, Pick 12 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
