Best value of the weekend goes to the 49ers for Pavia: C+.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Diego Pavia tumbling to the 49ers in pick 139 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. It nets out a thoroughly average C+.

They are betting Reed-Adams proves the room right and everyone else wrong. That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The dealing tilted against them, just enough to notice.

On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.

A perfectly average weekend, for better and for worse.

Pick Analysis
Pick23 Rnd1 Caleb Downs
In pick 23 they get an enforcer at safety at a price that makes it sweeter.
Pick54 Rnd2 Xavier Chaplin
A big swing on Xavier Chaplin at the 54th pick, well ahead of any board in the building. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick87 Rnd3 Keith Abney II
Keith Abney II in slot 87 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick119 Rnd4 Ar'maj Reed-Adams
This one needs a full-page explanation: Ar'maj Reed-Adams in the Round 4 slot, miles early. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick122 Rnd4 Jack Endries
Jack Endries slipping to pick No. 122 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick138 Rnd4 Blake Miller
Blake Miller at Round 4, Pick 38 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick139 Rnd4 Diego Pavia
The board fumbled Diego Pavia all the way to No. 139, and they scooped it up. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick140 Rnd4 Chase Roberts
A reach for Chase Roberts in the 140th overall pick; a little patience would have been rewarded. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
