Draft Grade — Rams
Overall
C

FutureB-
A weekend that raised as many questions as it answered. The Rams get a C. The Roderick Robinson II pick is the one that will follow the Rams into the fall. They took him 269 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so.
However the rest shakes out, Lee III at that price is a win they earned. They will regret leaving tight end for another day if the season turns on it.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
It nets out as a middle-of-the-pack haul that neither helps nor hurts much.
Pick Analysis
Pick11
Rnd1
Caleb Downs
In the 11th overall pick they get an enforcer at safety at a price that makes it sweeter. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick28
Rnd1
Roderick Robinson II
Roderick Robinson II at the 28th pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick59
Rnd2
Drew Allar
Value said wait; Drew Allar in pick No. 59 says they were not listening. The roster fit checks out.
Pick90
Rnd3
Isaiah Jatta
They talked themselves into Isaiah Jatta at pick 90, and the board did not agree. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick166
Rnd5
Will Lee III
Somehow Will Lee III was still sitting there in Round 5, Pick 27, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick203
Rnd6
Michael Harris
A wild overpay on Michael Harris in No. 203, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick207
Rnd6
Dylan Braithwaite
Dylan Braithwaite in the 207th overall pick is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick230
Rnd7
Jalen Hale
A big swing on Jalen Hale at pick No. 230, well ahead of any board in the building. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick249
Rnd7
Ricardo Hallman
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Ricardo Hallman at No. 249. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
