Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Colts spent the 214th overall pick on Chris Johnson Jr., a name most had 277 spots down the list. It washes out to a C, no better and no worse.

The Williams pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. With quarterback, tight end and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on cornerback is the choice that costs them.

The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

If Jerry Wilson and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
