A puzzling weekend of work from the Chiefs: D.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Chiefs did exactly that with Jaden Platt in the 17th overall pick. It grades a D, and the process earned it.

They punted on offensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, offensive lineman very much included.
