Somebody in the 128th overall pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Texans sat still while Zachariah Branch, the No. 108 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. Reaching for Rutledge left real value on the table behind him.

Running back was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
