Every other box got a look, but interior defensive lineman did not. The Patriots will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with.

Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.

They paid sticker price for David Bailey in pick 76, and that is fine. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.

A straight-up fair deal on Terrance Carter at the 129th pick, value and slot in agreement. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.

No edge and no loss on Connor Tollison in the Round 5 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. A need, and now a little less of one.
