Draft Grade — Jets
Overall B+
ValueB NeedA- TradesA+ FutureC+
The Jets finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a B+.

The Jets torched the value chart for Sav'ell Smalls, taking him 156 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. No fireworks, but a solid B+.

Whatever Arch Manning becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. The Johnson steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. They punted on offensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Good work on the whole, with offensive lineman the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick4 Rnd1 Arch Manning
In the 4th pick they get their guy under center for the next decade at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick36 Rnd2 Carnell Tate
The board had Carnell Tate higher than pick No. 36, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick104 Rnd4 Terry Moore
No edge and no loss on Terry Moore in Round 4, Pick 2; it is a wash and a sensible one. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick139 Rnd5 Daylen Everette
Steal is underselling it; Daylen Everette at No. 139 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick182 Rnd6 Kelby Collins
Kelby Collins at the 182nd overall pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick197 Rnd6 Miller Moss
They robbed the room for Miller Moss here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick209 Rnd6 Sav'ell Smalls
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Sav'ell Smalls well ahead of where he belonged. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick210 Rnd6 Michael Harris
A real head-scratcher, Michael Harris in pick No. 210 is miles ahead of his ranking. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick251 Rnd7 Dijon Johnson
Dijon Johnson in the Round 7 slot is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick253 Rnd7 Thomas Collins
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Thomas Collins. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
