Somebody in the 251st overall pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Eagles sat still while Colton Hood, the No. 24 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. On the needs board they went 6 of 9, with cornerback the one that mattered most. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Trading back for volume was the quiet throughline of their weekend.
