kylebrandt46 DRAFTING FOR THEBrowns
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Browns
Overall
B
ValueB
NeedB+
TradesB-
FutureB-
Manning is the plan now, and the Browns grade out a B. The search is over. The Browns handed the keys to Arch Manning, and the whole operation now runs on his development. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Good work on the whole, with tight end the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick2
Rnd1
Arch Manning
No edge and no loss on Arch Manning in the Round 1 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick10
Rnd1
Anthony Hill Jr.
A straight-up fair deal on Anthony Hill Jr. at the 10th pick, value and slot in agreement. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick34
Rnd2
Tyreak Sapp
They paid sticker price for Tyreak Sapp in pick No. 34, and that is fine. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick66
Rnd3
Rayshaun Benny
No drama and no debate, Rayshaun Benny went about where he belonged in No. 66. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick102
Rnd3
Josh Moten
Josh Moten in pick 102 is fair value, right on his grade. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick141
Rnd5
Kyle Louis
Kyle Louis at Round 5, Pick 3 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
Pick215
Rnd6
Jalen Hale
By-the-book stuff, Jalen Hale at the 215th overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick224
Rnd7
TJ Metcalf
TJ Metcalf at slot 224 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
