Draft Grade — Broncos

More right than wrong for the Broncos, and a B- to prove it. If confidence were a draft strategy, the Broncos would have aced it. CJ Daniels at the Round 2 slot is 66 spots clear of where he belonged.
Hunter at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick30
Rnd1
CJ Allen
In slot 30 they get a sideline-to-sideline linebacker, though they paid up to get him. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick62
Rnd2
CJ Daniels
A big swing on CJ Daniels at the 62nd overall pick, well ahead of any board in the building. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick94
Rnd3
Lee Hunter
Lee Hunter in No. 94 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
