Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Good, not great, for the Bills: B-.

The Bills spent real capital to be 52 picks early on De'Zhaun Stribling, and the board is going to hold them to it. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

They punted on linebacker, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick32 Rnd1 A.J. Harris
No drama and no debate, A.J. Harris went about where he belonged in No. 32. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick64 Rnd2 Tim Keenan III
They did well to land Tim Keenan III in Round 2, Pick 32, just ahead of his grade. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick96 Rnd3 Gabe Jacas
A straight-up fair deal on Gabe Jacas at the 96th overall pick, value and slot in agreement. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick132 Rnd4 De'Zhaun Stribling
Value said wait; De'Zhaun Stribling in pick No. 132 says they were not listening. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick171 Rnd5 Quinten Joyner
A tidy little value on Quinten Joyner in the 171st pick, a step better than break-even. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick217 Rnd7 Marquis Johnson
They took Marquis Johnson at par in the Round 7 slot, which is nothing to complain about. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick222 Rnd7 J.C. Davis
J.C. Davis at No. 222 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick245 Rnd7 Jalen Thompson
Jalen Thompson at Round 7, Pick 29 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
