The phones sank the Bengals this weekend: C.

Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Bengals spent Round 6, Pick 40 on Jake Johnson, a name the board had a full 160 spots lower. Some smart calls, some head-scratchers, and a C in the wash.

The Bowen value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

If Jeremiyah Love and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
