The Bears checked most of the boxes and earned a B-.

Priorities are a choice, and the Bears made a strange one, taking Bryce Boettcher at defensive back in pick No. 126 with edge rusher and cornerback crying out for the pick instead.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. Every board in the league had Novosad lower, and that gap is the story. Interior defensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
