Thieneman should have been long gone. The Steelers pounced, and earned a C.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Steelers were there to profit. Dillon Thieneman, the No. 43 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick 78. The good and the questionable cancel out to a C.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. They are betting Lance proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. It is not that Smith is a bad player; it is that the Steelers had louder needs to answer first.

It grades out a shrug today, with plenty of room to move either way.
