Call it larceny. Ja'Kobi Lane sat on the board until Round 3, Pick 22, and the Steelers did not need to be asked twice.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. Reaching for Campbell left real value on the table behind him.

The Ioane pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher and tight end still on the board. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

If Trevor Goosby and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.

Elijah Sarratt at the 78th overall pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
