The Steelers won the weekend at the trade table. Grade: A-.

If confidence were a draft strategy, the Steelers would have aced it. DJ Campbell at Round 4, Pick 31 is 46 spots clear of where he belonged. Little to argue with here, and the A- says so.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. The Tiernan pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher and running back still on the board. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

Add it up and this is about as clean as a draft weekend gets.

In the Round 1 slot they get a go-to option on the outside, outstanding value to boot. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick53 Rnd2 Trevor Goosby
Trevor Goosby in the 53rd pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.

Nice patience on Michael Taaffe, who had no business lasting to the 79th overall pick. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
