Start where it matters. The Steelers took Fernando Mendoza to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.

They will need Campbell to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The phones were where this weekend was really won.

The Jones pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher still on the board. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

That Hood pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
