The Dolphins drew a line under the quarterback search with Mendoza: D-.

The Dolphins went off the board in a big way for Roman Hemby, 98 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. So much rides on Fernando Mendoza that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him.

With edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on cornerback is the choice that costs them. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.

However the rest shakes out, Muhammad at that price is a win they earned.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.
