Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Ravens, and a B- to prove it.

The Ravens treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending the 131st pick on Patrick Payton a full 51 spots early.

However the rest shakes out, Inniss at that price is a win they earned. The offensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the offensive lineman spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick31 Rnd1 Zane Durant
In pick 31 they get a run-stuffing presence up front, even if it was a touch early. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick63 Rnd2 Taurean York
Fair-plus on Taurean York, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick95 Rnd3 Keon Sabb
Keon Sabb in the 95th pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick131 Rnd4 Patrick Payton
Patrick Payton in pick No. 131 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick143 Rnd5 Raylen Wilson
Circle this one: Raylen Wilson at Round 5, Pick 5 is a fall that decides a draft. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick170 Rnd5 DJ McKinney
The board had DJ McKinney higher than the Round 5 slot, and the cornerback fell to them anyway. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick172 Rnd5 Taylen Green
Taylen Green in Round 5, Pick 34 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick175 Rnd5 Jackson Arnold
Jackson Arnold slipping to pick No. 175 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick244 Rnd7 Brandon Inniss
Brandon Inniss at slot 244 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick246 Rnd7 Marquis Johnson
They robbed the room for Marquis Johnson here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
