Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Mendoza is the Raiders' new face under center. Grade: B-.

They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Fernando Mendoza is the Raiders' quarterback, full stop. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Lane. The Tiernan pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Fernando Mendoza
Fernando Mendoza in pick No. 1 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick36 Rnd2 Caleb Tiernan
They talked themselves into Caleb Tiernan at the Round 2 slot, and the board did not agree. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick67 Rnd3 Jacob Rodriguez
A straight-up fair deal on Jacob Rodriguez at pick 67, value and slot in agreement. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick102 Rnd4 Devin Moore
Value with a capital V on Devin Moore in No. 102, a genuine coup. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick117 Rnd4 Ja'Kobi Lane
Steal is underselling it; Ja'Kobi Lane at Round 4, Pick 17 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick134 Rnd4 Oscar Delp
Oscar Delp at the 134th overall pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the tight end. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick175 Rnd5 Ar'maj Reed-Adams
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Ar'maj Reed-Adams at slot 175. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick182 Rnd6 Matt Gulbin
Matt Gulbin at the 182nd pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick185 Rnd6 J'Mari Taylor
J'Mari Taylor at No. 185 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick208 Rnd6 Sawyer Robertson
They did well to land Sawyer Robertson in pick No. 208, just ahead of his grade. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick219 Rnd7 Isaiah Nwokobia
Isaiah Nwokobia at the 219th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
