Draft Grade — Dolphins
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesB- FutureC+
Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Dolphins.

The Dolphins clearly saw something nobody else did in Keyron Crawford, taking him 38 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick11 Rnd1 Kadyn Proctor
They paid sticker price for Kadyn Proctor in slot 11, and that is fine. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick43 Rnd2 Zion Young
Zion Young in the Round 2 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick75 Rnd3 Zakee Wheatley
Zakee Wheatley in the 75th overall pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick87 Rnd3 Devin Moore
They took Devin Moore at par in Round 3, Pick 23, which is nothing to complain about. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick90 Rnd3 Keyron Crawford
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Keyron Crawford. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick111 Rnd4 CJ Daniels
This one needs a full-page explanation: CJ Daniels in pick 111, miles early. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick138 Rnd4 Kaytron Allen
By-the-book stuff, Kaytron Allen at No. 138 squarely in line with his ranking. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick151 Rnd5 Jalen Farmer
Jalen Farmer in slot 151 is fair value, right on his grade. The roster fit checks out.
Pick227 Rnd7 Luke Altmyer
Luke Altmyer at the Round 7 slot is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick238 Rnd7 Riley Nowakowski
Riley Nowakowski in Round 7, Pick 22 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick256 Rnd7 Wesley Bissainthe
Wesley Bissainthe in the 256th pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It fills a real need, too.
