Draft Grade — Buccaneers

FutureB-
A puzzling weekend of work from the Buccaneers: D+. The Buccaneers clearly saw something nobody else did in Rodrick Pleasant, taking him 456 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. A D+ that will need time and luck to look better.
A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. That is an offensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
The back end got a real overhaul.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
Pick Analysis
Pick15
Rnd1
Rodrick Pleasant
In the 15th pick they get a sticky cover corner, though the board says they badly overpaid. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick46
Rnd2
Emmanuel Pregnon
Emmanuel Pregnon is a better player than No. 46 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick77
Rnd3
Bryce Lance
This one needs a full-page explanation: Bryce Lance in Round 3, Pick 13, miles early. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
